PagerDataSource
- The PagerDataSource performs two main tasks: * Retrieve data from a data source and expose it to another control, performing paging if needed. Provide a customized user interface to allow navigation to the different pages of data. * To retrieve data from the data source, the PagerDataSource can use any of the two options that the ASP.NET framework gives us: * Using the DataSource property: the only option available in ASP.NET 1.x. * Using the DataSourceID property: using the new ASP.NET 2.0 DataSourceControls. The PagerDataSource control has two working modes: * Extracting the data for the current page from the data source. * Requesting the data for the current page only. The pager is fully configurable with templates, has full design time support and can be used to improve search engine positioning, generating search engine friendly page links.
