HiNews (Free)
- HiNews is a free, cross-platform dynamic content management utility which enables a site owner to update a page of their website, perhaps with latest news, special offers or upcoming events. The many features include an external configuration file where many visual parameters can be easily set - font size, type, colour, link action etc. Structural settings include setting the display width, the results per page, the presence of a footer, article search bar, datestamps, section descriptions etc. Also includes choice of three article index layouts, and a built-in auto archive facility. HiNews is compatible with all Linux, Windows and FreeBSD webservers. HiNews creates and manages its own flat file database, so no database expertise or connectivity is required.
